If you have ridden the “Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run” attraction at Walt Disney World or Disneyland, you know that the “engineer” seats suck. Only a couple of people can be in the front seats piloting the ship, and everyone else is relegated to hitting a button in the back seats. Now, Disney is fixing that issue, and adding the Mandalorian and Grogu to the attraction.
Starting on May 22, 2025, guests can choose their destination on the ride.
This means certain choices can take riders to Bespin, Coruscant, or the Death Star wreckage near Endor.
Engineers can now communicate with Grogu during the mission instead of just sitting there while only two people get to really do anything.
Because Disney invested a crap ton of money into Epic Games, they used Unreal Engine to create the new options and want you and the investors to know they aren’t wasting their money.
Mando and Grogu Will Now Appear
The new storyline will not add Han, Luke, Leia, or Chewie. No. It will add Mando and Grogu because Disney needs to pimp their next movie.
Now, Hondo Ohnaka has learned of a deal happening on Tatooine between pirates and ex-Imperial officers. A “generous bounty” has been issued for their capture.
Guests will “borrow” the ship to team up with Mando and Grogu to hunt them down and then explore the galaxy.
What do you think?
Is this an improvement?
Are you looking forward to the new version of the ride?
