As most of you probably know, Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway is coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios next spring, 2020. This new attraction will be taking the place of The Great Movie Ride at the Chinese Theater building.
Disney has announced that more will be coming in the form of a new “Mickey Shorts Theater” which will most likely feature the Mickey short cartoons that are inspiring the new look of the Railway attraction.
They don’t mention where it will be added, just that it will be “Joining the park’s theater district” in “..a re-imagined venue.” That area has a lot of theater space in it but it’s most likely the “Star Wars: Path of the Jedi” area that will be “re imagined” to become this new cartoon show space.
Either way, it will premier the same season as the new attraction in the Chinese Theater.
For the 30th Anniversary Thom got a look at some of their press information including the black-light reflective cars and the original Steamboat Willie whistle.
Get ready for the new attraction coming 2020.
