What are Michaels’ 2026 holiday decor collections?

Four different holiday styles, each with its own look. Michaels says the collections are meant to match the different ways people like to decorate.

The four collections are Bough & Berry, Merry Kitschmas, Wrapped in Joy, and Twilight Tidings.

What is the Bough & Berry collection?

The classic Christmas look. Bough & Berry features crisp whites, deep berry reds, lots of greenery, classic plaid, wooden accents, and full wreaths, according to Michaels.

It’s a good fit if you love a traditional, cozy holiday home.

What is Merry Kitschmas at Michaels?

The fun, over-the-top collection. Merry Kitschmas mixes bold colors, textures, and patterns, with pink trees, crochet accessories, and novelty ornaments, Michaels said.

It’s made for maximalists who think more is more.

What is the Wrapped in Joy collection?

A softer, natural style. Wrapped in Joy uses muted earth tones, with wooden houses, velvet throw pillows, and golden reindeer, according to Michaels.

It’s a good pick for neutral, minimalist homes that want a calm holiday feel.

What is Twilight Tidings at Michaels?

The glam option. Twilight Tidings leans into metallic gold and silver, rich jewel tones, glass accents and mirrored ornaments, Michaels said.

Think sparkly New Year’s Eve party energy, all season long.

Why are pink Christmas trees popular?

They’re fun and photo-friendly. Pink and other colorful artificial trees have become a hit on social media in recent years.

They’re also a nod to the retro aluminum and tinsel trees that were popular in the 1950s and ‘60s.

What did Michaels say about the new decor?

Stacey Shively, chief merchandising officer at Michaels, said “customers want holiday decor that feels special.” She said Michaels wants to make holiday looks easy to pull off at a range of prices.

Michaels also says retail prices are lower across its holiday decor this season.

Are younger shoppers decorating differently?

Yes. Millennials (36%) and Gen Z (34%) are nearly six times as likely as Baby Boomers (6%) to go for playful, maximalist, moody or glam styles, according to Michaels’ survey with Morning Consult.

Still, about half of Gen Z, Millennials and Gen X lean toward classic and natural looks. Younger adults also decorate earlier, with about one-third of Millennials and Gen Z starting before November.

What else is Michaels doing for the holidays?

Michaels is teaming up with Hallmark on the new holiday movie Holiday Unplugged, which premieres Saturday, Nov. 7, on Hallmark Channel. The partnership includes in-store craft events starting Sunday, Nov. 1, and an exclusive Hallmark collection.

Michaels also offers thousands of DIY holiday projects starting at $2.99.

When should you buy Michaels holiday decor?

Early, if you have your eye on something. Exclusive collections and popular items like pink trees can sell out as the holidays get closer.

Michaels also runs frequent sales and coupons during the season, so it’s worth checking the app or Michaels.com before you shop.

How many Michaels stores are there?

More than 1,300 stores in 49 states and Canada, plus online at Michaels.com and Michaels.ca. Michaels was founded in 1973 and is based in Irving, Texas.
