McDonald’s x Pokémon TCG Promotion Reportedly Coming Soon For 30th Anniversary!

Get ready to fight the scalpers once again, as a new report indicates McDonald’s will be teaming up with Pokémon TCG (the Card Game) for a 30th Anniversary meal.

When will the promotion start?

We don’t yet have an exact date. All we know is that it will be sometime from February to March 2026 for the US market and will run a month (or while supplies last).

As with other Pokémon promotions, this one will be with Happy Meals.  However, recent promotions have also offered adult Happy Meals, so it is possible this promotion could as well.

McDonald’s has been offering a Pokémon TCG promotion yearly, but this time it’s for an anniversary set. If it is like the 25th anniversary set, there could be more possible cards than with a normal release.

What will be in the packs?

Normally, a Happy Meal pack contains four cards (one foil card), and the cards are re-releases of other ones we’ve seen. Since this is a big anniversary promotion, we could see something different.

PokeBeach has speculated that we could see an English version of the Japanese card with featured Pikachu eating a burger (Burgerchu). That would be amazing, but chaos as that card was gone in 24 hours when it was released in Japan.

When it comes down to it, we really don’t yet know what will be included or how many.

We will have to wait and see.
