A new fashion line will also be released around the same time from PacSun and Away.
Those of us who grew-up with McDonald’s iconic Happy Meal and McDonaldland characters, now have a reason to get excited. A new Adult Happy Meal will launch at McDonalds, on August 12, 2025.
The new meal is being marketed to Gen Z, but Gen X and Millennials are the ones most likely to buy it.

While we don’t get every McDonaldland character back for this promotion, we will see
- Ronald McDonald
- Birdi
- Grimace
- Mayor McCheese
- Hamburglar
- Fry Friends (Fry Guys/Fry Kids return.
Fun Fact- Grimace is officially a taste bud. Mystery of what he is has been solved!
What is in the Adult McDonaldland Happy Meal?

- You can choose either a Quarter Pounder with cheese or 10-piece McNuggets.
- It will also come with fries, a collectible souvenir, and a new Mt. McDonaldland Shake featuring a “mystery flavor” inspired by a volcano from McDonaldland. Hence the name Mr. McDonaldland Shake.
While the flavor is a mystery, reports indicate it will contain berry flavors in a “vibrant blue color with pink whipped cream.”
What is the collectible souvenir?

There will be one of six collectible tins that contain postcards, stickers, and more.
Personally, I was hoping for more, given the awesome figures we have gotten in the past. This seems kind of cheap in comparison.
New Merchandise and Fashion Line
Also releasing on August 12 is a new line of McDonaldland merchandise featuring apparel in collaboration with Pacsun.
A second line with Away will go on sale August 18, 2025.
