We learned the names of some new experiences coming to Mattel Adventure Park a few months ago. It’s been pretty quiet since then. The yet-to-be-opened theme park will boast attractions themed after the toy company’s greatest product lines, including Barbie, Hot Wheels, and Masters of the Universe.
When we checked the Mattel Adventure Park official website this weekend, we saw that it had been updated with artwork for two new attractions: the Barbie Beach House and the Hot Wheels Twin Mill Ride.
Barbie Beach House will be a multi-story shopping and interactive adventure featuring hologram technology and drinks (kid-friendly, I’m sure). However, will it be Kenough for the dads? The new info also mentions two of Barbie’s other attractions.
“Boasting state-of-the-art technology while simultaneously delivering a serious dose of nostalgia, the Barbie Beach House features the Barbie Dream Closet personalized shopping experience that brings Barbie to life using hologram technology along with Barbie Beach Rooftop perfect for kicking back with a signature beverage. Barbie also takes us on a journey from Malibu to Brooklyn in an innovative Flying Theatre next door equipped with a world-class dome screen and 8K projection.”
There’s a new Hot Wheels roller coaster for the more manly guests to accompany the previously-announced Bone Shaker. Twin Mill Racer will offer a 65-second ride along a 2,500+ long track. This one sounds like it’s aimed more at older riders than the other coaster.
“The coaster, which loads and unloads inside with air-conditioned comfort, goes from zero to 50 mph in under three seconds before blasting riders outside, taking them on two vertical loops (one of which tops out at 116 feet) and navigating a series of corkscrew and hairpin turns before making its way back into the building.”
Although these three attractions are the most prominently advertised on the Mattel Adventure Park website, hints are given regarding other rides. The Barbie and Hot Wheels areas of the park will also include the following experiences:
