Marvel has just released a final trailer for “The Eternals.” At least this one shows what the movie is actually about. Previously they released a trailer that was all over the place and created the opposite effect on audiences.
After the last trailer dropped the question about why they didn’t help humanity against Thanos has been a hot topic and even created a running joke about their reasons for not fighting.
Here’s the Final Trailer:
Part of the problem this film, and it’s trailers, have is that they are bringing in several new characters at once. This trailer seemed to focus more on the story and purpose of the Eternals and not on (to be honest I have no idea what the focus of the last trailer was) the visuals maybe?
At least now we know when the time frame basically is and we know that the undoing of the snap caused the issues everyone is about to face.
The trailer explains why they are here a bit better. It also tells us that they have orders from someone else, who they don’t reveal. But Celestials are definitely involved.
I still don’t think the demand is there for this film, not in the numbers Disney and Marvel want you to believe it is. There would likely be no rumors about possibly going straight to Disney+ if that were indeed the case.
Shang-Chi likely has more interest and it isn’t even out yet before they turn the PR onto ‘The Eternals.
There are a lot of comments on the newest trailer but a good chunk seem to be people playing into the “Why didn’t you help fight Thanos?” joke.
A lot of people also are excited about Kit Harington’s Black Knight more than the other characters.
I stand by what I’ve said. This trailer does a better job of actually making it look interesting, but I still think the interest is not there like Marvel wants it to be. Maybe it’s hiding overseas in the markets they are pushing into with Hot Star?
Hoping I’m wrong.
‘The Eternals’ is set to release theatrically on November 5, 2021.
