Marvel ‘Black Widow’ Trailer and Teaser Poster Have Been Released

We finally have a trailer for the upcoming Marvel Black Widow film! It looks fantastic!

I am still salty that they killed her off in the Avengers: Endgame film, but at least she is getting the movie her characters has deserved the entire time! Marvel took to Twitter to promote the new trailer and the teaser poster for fans.

The film will focus on Natasha Romanoff’s (Scarlett Johansson) past and will take place between Captain America: Civil War and the Avengers: Infinity War films. She goes to Budapest and we meet some of the people she used to work with including Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), Melina (Rachel Weisz) and the Red Guardian-Alexei (David Harbour) and the irony of the character’s name should amuse Stranger Things fans.

Marvel has also released a teaser poster:

The design on this poster is fantastic!

I do want to note that guns are used in the film somewhat, at least in the trailer. There was talk that the screenwriter Jac Schaeffer didn’t want to use them, but with the character being who she was it was kind of hard not to. So it looks like they may have reached a compromise with both hand-to-hand combat and guns.

So far it looks very good and I am really excited to see this one. Captain Marvel was okay, but Natasha was always my favorite. She doesn’t have powers yet she was a core Avenger and stood toe to toe on without them. A lot of fans, myself included, have been waiting for her to get a film for years! It’s about time!

The new Black Widow film will hit theaters on May 1, 2020!
