21-year-old Ryan Boufakeer was arrested by Orange County Deputies last night after being accused of filming under a woman’s skirt in line for Tron Lightcycle Run in Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom.
According to reports, the incident occurred between 7:05 and 7:15 when a woman noticed Boufakeer crouching on his hands and knees while pointing an iPhone camera up her skirt.
The woman immediately confronted him (as she rightfully should) and demanded that he delete the video, which he claimed to have done.
Later on, Disney security detained Boufakeer until deputies arrived, and Boufakeer reportedly admitted to them that he made a 15-second recording after crouching to “charge his phone”. He originally intended to keep the recording for “sexual gratification.”
What makes this even worse is that he was at the parks as a chaperone for students of South Creek Chorus.
Sounds like the school needed to chaperone him.
He now faces one count of video voyeurism.
This is why you need to pay attention when you are at a Disney Park or any theme park.
Many of us get into the “Disney bubble” where we think nothing bad can happen, but it can. People have gotten into fights, been filmed like this woman, and some have even reported having AirTags placed on them.
Never leave anything of value in your strollers, and do not bring expensive strollers, as all of these things can be stolen.
Disney has a lot of security, including undercover employees, but that doesn’t mean that everything is caught or stopped. Incidents like this one are hard to spot, and if she hadn’t turned around and looked, he could have gotten away with it.
Stay vigilant, and if you see something like this happening to another person, take mental notes, let the victim know, and get help from a Cast Member.
