Magic Kingdom Was Hopping Yesterday A Fight on the Ferry and an Evacuation of Tom Sawyer Island

Yesterday, September 4, was the quite the day for guests visiting the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World. First they evacuated Tom Sawyer Island and then a video surfaced of a fist fight on board the Magic Kingdom Ferry. On top of all that someone apparently smuggled a dog into EPCOT.

First there was the evacuation of Tom Sawyer Island.

Disney guests reported that the island was evacuated. The Orange County Sheriff’s office had had a call about a “suspicious person” at  Caribbean Way around 5:48 PM.

It’s unclear what exactly happened, but social media scuttlebutt says that there was a person (sounds like a teenager) walking around, dressing camouflage, with a “hatchet” that was likely a prop on the island.  We don’t know what happened for sure yet.

Kenny the Pirate posted some alleged witness stories on their blog, but nothing has been confirmed.  According to the “witness” it was a boy around 14-16 years old and he was there with his mother and what could be his sister.

He took allegedly took a prop hammer and a prop hatchet. It is said that he also went into the backstage area and brought out antlers.

Their witness said he was talking to himself and acting strange and they heard him say, “We’ve finally made it. It took a while, but we’ve finally made it.”

There is another witness account on the blog as well.

Later that evening there was a fight on one of the Magic Kingdom Ferry boats

There seems to be multiple people involved and one couple is possibly trying to break it up. Looked like they were trying to get out of the way initially.

Oh and there was supposedly a person caught smuggling their dog into EPCOT in a bag too

Yesterday was quite the day for Walt Disney World!  I’m surprised the Universal Orlando Twitter account hasn’t chimed in on it yet.
