Recent rumors indicated that MAGA (Make America Great Again) hats were banned at Disneyland and Walt Disney World. Disney has confirmed that this is not true and the red and white hats are allowed at the parks.
Where did the rumor come from?
It came from the parody site Mouse Trap News. Honestly, they are great and creating a stir over completely made-up stuff. When the parody is hard to distinguish from reality you know they are nailing it!
Here is the video in question.

In the video they claim that “anyone seen wearing a MAGA hat will be immediately detained and banned from all Disney parks for at least a year.”
They further claim that Disney released this “official” statement,
“Make America Great Again hats, also knows as MAGA hats are no longer allowed inside Disney World theme parks. Wearing one of these hats will result in a ban of one year or more. This is because these hats are harmful to other guests. We want to promote a welcoming, inclusive environment and banning MAGA hats is an important step in achieving that goal”.
Of course, Disney never said that, and it’s a joke.
People watching did not seem to realize that it was indeed not true. Here are some of the comments:
“Proud of Disney. Everyone else should follow” – gamerhehe29
“1st Amendment does not protect hate speech or bigotry so it’s same as them not allowing white robes with hoods.” -Marta H.
Many said “Maga can’t afford Disney.”
Not really sure why they believe that one honestly.
“No political messaging should be allowed at Disney..” – noblestar
“If this ain’t true. It should be.” -SnarfJack
“It makes sense that the “happiest place on Earth” wouldn’t want a symbol of hate” -MsLizV
Except Walt Disney World is “The most magical place on Earth” Disneyland is the “happiest place on Earth.”
“I’m loving Disney more day by day.” – Norv.
It goes on and on, as many were tricked by the video, but it is entirely fake.
