The 5th expansion for the Disney collectible trading card game Lorcana has been announced! When can you expect Shimmering Skies to take flight?
The expansion will launch in select hobby stores starting on August 9. Big box stores and sites like Amazon will begin carrying Shimmering Skies on August 23.

“The celebration has just begun, and you’re invited! You’ll gather with Illumineers and glimmers near the Great Illuminary for games, food, music, dancing, and more. The guest list includes new faces like Wreck-It Ralph and his pixelated pals from Litwak’s Arcade as well as Elsa, Anna, and Olaf fresh from their most recent adventure into the Enchanted Forest. It’s an event the realm will always remember.“
Oddly, the landing page for the expansion appears to be broken. This isn’t the first time we’ve encountered 404 errors on Lorcana’s official website.

Lorcana may be losing popularity. The last time we covered a Lorcana expansion, the packs and starter sets weren’t on a waiting list via Amazon. Or maybe Disney upped production?

In other Lorcana news, Disney forced the shutdown of a fan-made platform where Lorcana players could hone their skills. At least, that’s what we’ve been told. However, a site featuring the launcher and client is still up. Click here to check it out.
