It’s been 30 years since “The Lion King” was released to theaters on June 24, 1994. To celebrate, Disney will be offering special treats at Disney’s Animal Kingdom from June 10 – September 9, 2024.
Here’s a look at what’s coming from the Disney Parks Blog!
Eight Spoon Cafe
The cafe will feature The Simba– a mango-flavored slushy with grenadine and two gummy candies.
Isle of Java
Here you can find Timon’s Luau – a layered dessert with vanilla chiffon, passion fruit curd, guava jam, vanilla chantilly cream, and an edible tropical flower for Timon’s lei and mint to represent his hula skirt.
Tiffins Restaurant
Here, you can find Rafiki’s Squash Banana shake. It is made with squash bananas, baobab fruit, vanilla, cinnamon, and cardamom. I love the little Simba on top!
You can also find the special “Remember Who You Are” The Lion King 30th Anniversary Dessert. It features a Kenyan coffee mousse filled with caramelized bananas, chai chantilly, banana-caramel sauce, chocolate-coffee crumble, chocolate decoration, and a sugar sun.
Tamu Tamu Refreshments
Here guests can purchase the Zazu Ice Cream Sandwich. It features vanilla ice cream sandwiched between two blue cake-coated sugar cookies and is finished with a chocolate medallion on top featuring Zazu.
Harambe Market
You Follow Old Rafiki Cheesecake is a passion fruit-mango cheesecake with a coconut-lime crust, vanilla bean chantilly, and a chocolate medallion featuring Rafiki on top.
Restaurantosaurus
Shenzi Strawberry Lemonade combines Minute Maid Premium Lemonade, Minute Maid Strawberry Smoothie, and blue curaçao syrup. It’s served with a souvenir glow cube.
Pizzafari
Rightful Ruler Cupcake is a red velvet cake filled with cookies ‘n cream cheesecake and chocolate icing topped with a chocolate medallion on chocolate rocks.
Trilo-bites
Zazu DOLEWhip Lime and Coconut Float features DOLE Whip Lime with Sprite and coconut and blue curaçao syrup. Topped with a white chocolate Zazu medallion.
Outdoor Food Carts
Simba Paw Cookie! An adorable sugar cookie with icing.
Again, these treats and sips will be available at Disney’s Animal Kingdom at the Walt Disney World Resort starting on June 10 and ending on September 9, 2024.
