The live-action “Lilo and Stitch” trailer was released today, and it looks so good! I was concerned about how it would look in live-action, but going by the trailer, there is nothing to worry about.
Take a look!
The casting for Lilo (Maia Kealoha), Nani (Sydney Agudong), and David (Kaipo Dudoit) is spot on. Chris Sanders, who originally voiced Stitch, is the voice of Stitch.
They are going to give Jumba (Zach Galifianakis) and Pleakley (Billy Magnussen) human disguises, which we figured they would. But we see Pleakley as CGI, too, and he looks spot on!
The CGI for this film is top-notch, and Lilo is adorable!
Oh, and Cobra Bubbles (Courtney B. Vance) is in the film. There were rumors that he would be changed, but they did not do that.
Unlike the reaction to “Snow White” the comments are mostly positive!
“This is the first Disney live-action remake I’m actually excited for, Stitch and the other alien characters look great and it’s really nostalgic to see all the scenes recreated.”– Tarinator
“I can already tell this is gonna be the best Disney live action remake… this live action Stitch design is just too adorable.” – RaphJohn
“Yooo the people who worked on this need to make the live actions for all the future projects. They get what made the movie good!”– 44zeex
“I’m not a fan of Disney live actions as of late, but so far, they NAILED this CGI. Stitch is perfect. Lilo is also adorable.” – MaggieJane 2192
“Never thought I’ll see the day where the majority are excited for a Disney remake” -rafaelmarquez8886
“It’s amazing how Disney can go from Snow White to this masterpiece within a year.”– Cr8zyVoices
Many are comparing this to “Snow White.”
Some are saying that it is obvious that one team cares about the source material and one does not. Especially when you look at the dwarfs and how they are done in CGI compared to the characters in “Lilo and Stitch.”
What I do know is that “Lilo and Stitch” will likely do very well at the box office when it releases on May 23.
It looks fantastic!
