KPop Demon Hunters Is Returning To Theaters on Halloween!

Netflix has announced “KPop Demon Hunters” will be returning to theaters for another sing-along event from Halloween through November 2. All three large theater chains- Regal, AMC, and Cinemark will be participating in select theaters.

AMC missed out last time, and now it seems they want to get in on the “KPop Demon Hunters” action this time around.  Variety reports that about 400 AMC theaters in the United States and Europe will participate in this event.

Perfect timing with a Halloween release!

When the film was released in August, it generated about 18 million in a couple of days. Now, with even more theaters participating and people having the opportunity to wear their Huntr/x or Saja Boys Halloween costumes, it could do even more.

“KPop Demon Hunters” costumes are expected to be huge this year!

Cinemas are looking for ways to offset the lack of popular films right now.

Given the popularity of the last event and the lack of major hits in the cinema, this might be a big boost for the theater chains. Some have been running old horror films and 1980s films in an attempt to offset losses from the lull of in-demand films.

November through January will be strong as “Wicked For Good”, “Zootopia 2”, and “Avatar: Fire and Ash” will be released. Re-releasing the Netflix hit might be just what theaters need ahead of the upcoming boom.

“KPop Demon Hunters” has taken the world by storm!

The film is now the most-watched ever on Netflix.  “Golden” had been at number one on the Billboard 100 for a while. “Soda Pop” was also up there. I actually heard “Soda Pop” being played at Walmart the other day!

The musical film is about three women (Rumi, Mira, and Zoey) who are the latest in a long line of “hunters” who stop demons from destroying our world. Now they must face demons disguised as a boy band working for Gwi-ma from taking over humanity. To do so, they must seal the magical Honmoon barrier.

Tickets will go on sale in the United States and Canada on Oct. 17 at 6 a.m. PT (9 a.m. ET). You can locate theaters playing the film HERE. You can also check Fandango.
