It has just been announced that Krysten Ritter will return to Marvel as Jessica Jones for “Daredevil: Born Again” Season 2.
The announcement was made during Disney’s Upfront meeting today.
“Jessica Jones” was originally a show on Netflix, like “Daredevil.” It had three seasons from 2015 to 2019. Jones also starred as one of the main characters in “The Defenders” along with the stars of “Luke Cage,” “Daredevil,” and “Iron Fist.”
No word yet on the return of Mike Colter (Luke Cage) or Finn Jones (Iron Fist.)
Ritter was present at the presentation and said,
“It is so great to be back! Returning to Jessica after three seasons and ‘The Defenders,’ and now joining the MCU! I am so excited to bring back this iconic character. And without giving too much away, there’s much in store for Jessica Jones. This is going to be an incredible season.”
“Daredevil: Born Again” Season 2 will pick up where the first season ended with Matt Murdock / Daredevil trying to recruit an army of allies to fight Wilson Fisk / Kingpin.
I enjoyed the Netflix “Daredevil” and “Jessica Jones” shows. This is great news!
