Jabba’s Sail Barge is Back! Now in LEGO Form and it’s $499!

Jabba the Hutt’s lavish Sail Barge was a playset we never got in the ’80s. Hasbro refuses to put the crowdfunded version back into production. So, what are we to do? Get one made out of LEGO, of course!

Jabba’s Sail Barge is made up of 3,942 pieces and will cost you $499.99. These high-end sets are worth the investment, but we’ll talk about why later.

Included with the Jabba’s Sail Barge LEGO Set are 11 MiniFigures (yes, Jabba is considered a Mini). The character roster consists of the following:
  • Slave Leia (minus cleavage and a more conservative dress)
  • Salacious Crumb
  • R2-D2 (with drinks serving gear)
  • C-3PO
  • (1) Gamorrean Guard
  • Max Rebo (without piano)
  • Kithaba
  • Bib Fortuna
  • Vizam
  • Wooof
  • Jabba (of course)

Like its HasLab counterpart released years ago, the LEGO Sail Barge opens up in the same way. The port and starboard sides of the vessel open to reveal the cockpit, kitchen, holding cell, throne room, and a band stage for Max Rebo.

Better put this thing on your Christmas wishlist!

An early scene in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi™ gave us our first (and, spoiler, last) look at Jabba the Hutt’s luxury Sail Barge – The Khetanna. Now this iconic ship comes back to life as an Ultimate Collector Series building set, complete with a galaxy of rich details and play options for fans.

The larger LEGO Star Wars kits have retained their value really well. The reseller market nets a good profit, especially on the Razor Crest and Millenium Falcon. Other sets, like the Ghostbusters Firehouse, have more than doubled in value since it was discontinued.
