Is Walt Disney World’s New “Infinite Worlds” Ad A Shot At Epic Universe?

Walt Disney World has released a new ad titled “Infinite Worlds,” and many are wondering if it is a shot at Universal Orlando’s upcoming Epic Universe.

The new ad focuses on the “world of” such things as “heroes, villains, princesses, screaming, etc.”, much like Epic Universe has focused on fully immersive lands via portals at the new park opening in May.

At one point, they even focus on villains. Currently, they don’t have a Villain land. However, they rushed to create a stage show, “Disney Villains Unfairly Ever After.” I think they are worried about the Universal Monsters-themed area called “Dark Universe.” I don’t blame them; it is the one I want to see the most.

This on top of the free dining and discounts released for May-August.

Oh and let me remind you of the Epic Universe commercial that flat out says “Five Immersive Worlds” in it!

Universal already used “worlds.”

It is also leading to confusion that Disney is changing the name from Walt Disney World to Walt Disney Worlds:

Is Disney’s commercial the worst one ever? No. But it is clearly in response to Epic Universe’s commercial.

It’s just causing confusion about their name now. Oh, people are expecting both of Walt Disney World’s water parks to be open simultaneously after they advertised having two water parks in their commercial.

What will likely happen is people will just visit both theme parks since they are down there anyway.
