Is Disney Listening To Fans Again– Cleaned “Mold” off of ‘it’s a small world’ and Saved Dino Sue

Walt Disney World is located in Florida, where it’s wet, and things grow. Popular attraction ‘it’s a small world” is located in a dark building full of water, where things can grow. Walt Disney World is a big place, and they may not notice things as quickly as park fans do.  Good news–they are apparently listening.

What happened on “it’s a small world’?

There was mold on one of the gondolas in the Italian part of the attraction.

It’s a mark left by the water line.

Disney has since cleaned it up, likely thanks to the original post by Theme Park Cheetah on X.

This reminds me of the lists that WDW News Today would keep of things that were broken or needed to be cleaned so Disney would notice.

Once upon a time, the parks often listened to guests’ thoughts and complaints, but that has seemed to drop off in the past few years.  I am hoping that it returns with Josh D’Amaro as CEO.

What happened to Dino Sue?

Dino Sue was located outside the entrance to the now shuttered “Dinosaur” attraction in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Fans were worried when big blue “Xs” were painted on her legs that she would be destroyed.

Thanks to efforts by fans like McKenna on X, we have been reassured that Dino Sue is safely stored away and not facing extinction…again.

Disney is listening to concerns, which is a good thing.

FYI ‘it’s a small world’ is going to get mold and stuff on it simply because it’s a dark water ride in Florida. If you are sensitive to those kinds of things, I would recommend avoiding it and Pirates of the Caribbean.

No judgement. I have mold-triggered asthma. I get it, and I ride those attractions all the time with no issues. If you are worried then don’t ride it.
