Disney has announced that “Inside Out 2” will begin streaming on Disney+ this month.
“Inside Out 2” was released to theaters on June 14, 2024, and quickly became the highest-grossing animated film of all time. It even broke into the top ten box office performing films, where it sits in the number eight slot, earning $1,675,260,201. The film beat out the 2019 remake of “The Lion King” and 2015’s “Jurassic World.” This gives Disney ownership of nine of the top ten films.
Inside Out 2 was a long-awaited sequel to the original released in 2015.

This film once again takes us into Riley’s mind, now as a teenager. While Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear, and Disgust are back, new emotions take over, including Anxiety, Embarrassment, Envy, and Ennui.
Here is the official synopsis:
“Disney and Pixar’s Inside Out 2 returns to the mind of newly minted teenager Riley just as headquarters is undergoing a sudden demolition to make room for something entirely unexpected: new Emotions! Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear and Disgust, who’ve long been running a successful operation by all accounts, aren’t sure how to feel when Anxiety shows up. And it looks like she’s not alone.”
“Inside Out 2” starts Amy Poehler (Joy), Maya Hawk (Anxiety), Ayo Edebiri (Envy), Tony Hale (Fear), Lewis Black (Anger), Phyllis Smith (Sadness), Liza Lapira (Disgust), Paul Walter Hauser (Embarrassment), and Adèle Exarchopoulos (Ennui).
