A short while ago Disney had temporarily closed “It’s a Small World” for refurbishment. People wondered why it was closing after it just had the façade updated recently. Now we know it was to update the clock in the queue area in the attraction ahead of the 50th Anniversary celebration.
The new colors are pastels but they are fun and playful and, in my opinion, a much better look than the previous gold and white that was there.
The white and gold is still prevalent throughout the queue, but the colorful clock feels more like the entrance and the majority of the attraction as a whole. It’s a good balance and like how the colorful entry leads into the clock and then changes to gold and white, as it does the attraction leading up to the finale.

And here is the updated version (photo from Disney Food Blog)

Each side has a different color. Pictures is the blue clock front and pink side. The other side is done in green (you can see a tiny bit of it on the right had side above the number 2.)
I’m loving the change. It just feels more playful and cheerful.
