I’m Heart Broken! Puppy Bowl’s Teigen Passed Away Months Ago

If you watch the Puppy Bowl you likely saw Teigen, the puppy in a mobility device that “won” the game.  Many were taken with her spirit and fell in love with her and many of the doggos participating.

Sadly, it seems Teigen passed away months ago from Pneumonia.

Here is a post by the rescue that cared for her.

But we just saw her?

Turns out the Puppy Bowl is filmed months prior.

Teigan passed away on October 23, 2025.

She was born with neurological issues and severe spine curvature, which is why she needed the puppy mobility device.  She was also susceptible to pneumonia and had a severe case shortly after the rescue got her. She survived that round but did not survive the next.

My heart is broken, and I’m sobbing as I write this article.

Not the first time.

This happened back in 2024 as well. A itty bitty puppers — Sweet Pea was also featured during the Puppy Bowl but had sadly passed away from a deformed kidney at only 5 months old.  Again, passing before the Puppy Bowl aired.

What you can do.
  • While we can’t bring Teigan or Sweet Pea back, we can help other dogs who need help. Consider donating to these rescues and shelters that help disabled dogs. The medical costs alone are so much and shelters need your help.
  • If you have the time, patience, and money, consider adopting dogs or cats with special needs.  Or simply adopt a healthy cat or dog.
  •  You could also volunteer at shelters.
  • Give time or money to local shelters that help all kinds of doggos. Donate in honor of Teigan.

You can make a difference.

For Teigan, Sweet Pea, and all the other special needs pups!
