Hyundai Reveals Its Platinum Disney100 IONIQ 5 SUV

If you eat, breathe, and sleep Disney, then it’s time for you also to drive Disney. I’m not talking about the cute Beetle with Mickey’s ears from The Collector; I mean Hyundia’s special edition Disney100 IONIQ.

Hyundai’s Disney100 electric vehicle will arrive next year, and this will be a minimal run. Imagine Disney scalpers trying to snag these things and selling them on eBay!

For the first time, Hyundai vehicle designers have created a vehicle with visual input from Walt Disney Imagineering. IONIQ 5 is a flagship all-electric vehicle, and we are excited to share our IONIQ 5 Disney100 Platinum Edition—the perfect electric vehicle for Disney fans—coming in early 2024 with minimal availability.

The car looks OK, and the only thing that sets it apart at first glance is the Disney100 tags on the outside and the branding embossed on the interior’s leather. It’s not all that remarkable, to be honest.

I think most people were interested in the commercial associated with the electric SUV. Hyundai’s Disney100 Platinum IONIQ debuted on a Dancing with the Stars promo.

The nearly 4-minute long Opening Number for the show includes several cameos from the Walt Disney Company’s past and near future. Yes, Asha from the upcoming animated feature film Wish makes an appearance alongside Peter Pan, Aladdin, Jasmine, Tinkerbell, and more!

You can catch Dancing with the Stars on ABC Tuesday nights and on Disney+

This isn’t the first cross-brand promotion for Disney’s 100th anniversary we’ve seen this year. A slightly more affordable branding deal was made with Samsung. The technology company created a Disney100 digital frame that costs over $3K for the 75″ screen.

Seeing as we’re celebrating 100 years worth of Disney, be sure to check out the video below that brings hundreds of the company’s toys to life:
