The iconic ‘Home Alone’ is turning 35 this year, and to celebrate, Disney is going to offer special tie-ins both on their Disney+ app, and at airports, and pop up pizza shops across the country!
Zack Jerome, VP of brand and marketing strategy at Disney+ said.
“Disney+ is excited to celebrate a movie that’s become such a holiday staple for families everywhere, mine included We can’t wait to bring elements from the film into the real world so people can experience them up close, and if they share my enthusiasm, finally order ‘a lovely cheese pizza just for me’ from Little Nero’s.”
That’s right, Little Neros Pizzerias will be popping up across the country!
Prince St. Pizza will get a Little Nero’s makeover from December 10 to 17. Locations nationwide will offer pizza boxes, menus, and collectible packaging with Little Nero’s Pizzeria on them. The locations in Chicago and Toronto will even put some special Little Nero’s decor in the locations.
At the Studio City, LA location, fans can experience a “full interior-and-exterior makeover, complete with nostalgic touches and the iconic Little Nero’s delivery car parked outside for the ultimate photo moment.”
Disney+ app with VIZIO
From December 19 until the 31st VIZIO users can launch their Disney+ app simply by saying “KEVIN!” into the Voice Remote.
McCallister Gingerbread House
Disney is recreating the McCallister house in gingerbread to attempt the Guinness World Record for the “world’s largest gingerbread house.”
This display will be located at Hollywood and Vine in LA, and it will be open to the public on December 18 and 19.
How big is it?
The gingerbread house will measure 25.6 feet tall, 58 feet long, and 42 feet wide!
“No Kevin Left Behind” at major airports
Another fun celebratory event guests can experience is the “No Kevin Left Behind” airport activation in partnership with CLEAR. Nine airports across the United States will offer CLEAR+ Members a limited-edition Home Alone ornament, and any member named Kevin (in select CLEAR+ lanes) will get a code for complimentary CLEAR Cocierge service they can use on a future trip.
