Hamilton Hits Movie Theaters Sept. 5 to Celebrate 10th Anniversary

“Hamilton film theatrical release, Hamilton 2025 theaters, original Broadway cast Hamilton movie, Hamilton 10th anniversary release.”

Disney is bringing the acclaimed Hamilton film version—starring Lin‑Manuel Miranda and the original Broadway cast—to cinemas nationwide and in Puerto Rico on September 5, 2025, marking the musical’s 10th anniversary on stage.

This is the same version that Disney+ released on their service in July 2020 after the pandemic stopped plans for a theatrical release. Now it is coming to theaters.

This release offers something truly special: a cinematic presentation of the live Broadway experience. Filmed in June 2016 at the Richard Rodgers Theatre, Hamilton features the full original cast—including Leslie Odom Jr., Daveed Diggs, Renée Elise Goldsberry, Jonathan Groff, Phillipa Soo, and Christopher Jackson—with director Thomas Kail aiming to give audiences “the same seat” even outside the theater.
