Great Budget Lunch Near Universal Orlando

A vacation to Orlando area theme park brings so many great opportunities. You can experience new things. Of course, you can find new dining options. You will develop memories that you will talk about for a lifetime (good or bad). However, no matter how much money you think you need for your vacation, it always ends up being more than expected. Any high-quality way to save money should be considered. A long-standing way to save money on food on theme park vacation involves dining off-site during lunch time hours. Many chain restaurants offer lunch time menus. These menu items tend to cost less.

My preferred off-site lunch time option near Universal Orlando drives me to Miller’s Ale House. A great location exists in Kirkman Road area near Universal Orlando. Based on its location, some on-site guests will walk for meals here. I have visited this location on numerous occasions. I do not recall ever having a bad meal here. However, the best deal here pertains to their lunch menu/specials.

These lunch items do change periodically. However, in the last 8 years or so, most standard items remain. These lunch entrées vary from $7 to $10. Lunch menu is available from 11am-4pm Monday through Friday.

The portion size exceeds standard expectation for this price point. In addition, several of these lunch entrees feature an elusive thing for theme park vacationers, actual nutrition. The nutritional value of some of these choices ranks high at least for chain restaurant food.

For example, during Universal Orlando Mardi Gras 2022, I ordered take out from here while staying at Holiday Inn and Suites Across from Universal Orlando. I got “Dad’s Meatloaf.” I recall many years ago, my teenage son ordered this and ate every bit of it. I was shocked since it had broccoli as a side. At the current time, this meatloaf lunch entrée costs $6.99.

The meatloaf tasted pretty good. It comes with mashed potatoes with gravy. The aforementioned broccoli also comes with it. For my dining experience, I got a reasonable portion for lunch take out. The overall value of this meatloaf rates very high. Lunch specials do change. However, I ate a reasonably wholesome lunch for $7. In contrast, a pretzel with cheese costs more than that currently at Universal Orlando.

If looking for a way to save money and eat better, give Miller’s Ale House a shot for lunch. I doubt you will be disappointed. As always, eat like you mean it!
