Giraffe Kicks Poor Hog at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

A new video is going around TikTok showing a giraffe running up to a poor hog and basically chopping it with its leg. The poor thing can be heard squeaking when it happens.

Apparently, the video was taken by someone staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, where they were filming the animals as they came out in the morning when the incident occurred.

Here is the video by @myrooknest.

While some found it funny, some didn’t. Many were hoping the animal was alright.

“First time I’ve ever been mad at a giraffe” – Rat Fuct

“That was not very Disney of him” – TheGlitterWhoreStore

“that squeak hurt to hear” – Cass

“Well that seemed uncalled for” – Flyest Bell

“Ouch! Poor guy. I hope he’s ok.” – Samantha

“giraffe let the intrusive thoughts win” – letemkookie

“That kick came from like 15 feet in the air” – WarSanchez

Apparently someone commented

“He wants some bacon.”

The good news is the animal was alright.

“…he was okay, just a little scraped up and spooked” -sellingsouls

It’s understandable for people to be concerned, as other tragedies have happened before. The most famous one involved a baby zebra being chased into a fence, where it passed away. (My heart breaks every time I think about it.)

The animals at Disney’s Animal Kingdom are left to roam and be somewhat wild, so tragedy is bound to happen. I just don’t think guests want to witness the tragedy.

Hopefully, the poor little hog is better now, and that giraffe stops being a bully. But as someone pointed out, the way other animals seemed to be avoiding the giraffe. They are likely a bully often.  It didn’t seem like the hog saw them coming.

What do you think? Comment and let us know.
