Gina Carano was famously fired from Lucasfilm after her historically accurate post about the Holocaust and how people were made to hate their neighbors. This came after months of abuse from Twitter (now X.com) for not putting pronouns in her bio. Meanwhile, other Disney-related celebrities have posted much worse with no repercussions. As a result, the actress sued the Walt Disney Company and Lucasfilm.
Disney initially tried to get the case dismissed but lost, so their new tactic is to try and stall the actress’s legal team. It’s been reported by others that Disney’s lawyers will try to stall out for time or try to run the other party out of money to avoid information going public. But I personally can’t not confirm this to be true. It does seem very possible given past behavior.
Gina Carano has now publicly called out Disney and Lucasfilm
The actress has put Disney on blast for trying to push the case back further, even indicating that her legal team has to file a motion to compel, in an attempt to get the documents and information they were supposed to release involving actor pay for a damage expert to review.

Carano posted the following,
“It’s been eight months since my lawyers at Schaerr Jaffe @GSchaerr first requested basic documents and information from Disney that my damages expert needs to properly evaluate the financial harm I have suffered because of Disney’s unlawful firing of me. The information requested is commonly sought in cases such as mine.
Throughout this case, Disney/Lucasfilm have deflected and stalled in providing even basic information. My lawyers have gone above and beyond, being persistent and consistent in their requests and cooperating where need be, which is well documented.
As a result of Disney dragging its feet, my trial date has now moved from this September to next February. It’s such a punch in the gut for an artist but I remain positive about the future.
My lawyers have now had to go to the extent of filing a motion to compel, filed yesterday April 2, 2025. This motion is being filed to involve the court to demand Disney provide information to which my team is clearly entitled.
As if there was ever any doubt, even the Hollywood press is noting how I was treated unfairly when looking at how Disney has treated other actors. Disney’s discrimination is plain as day, maybe that is why they are delaying providing the proof sitting right in their files.
This case goes far beyond me. It is not just for people who agree or disagree with everything or even anything I’ve said. Just even filing this case has forced Disney to check themselves and I believe it’s already helped to protect others.
As always, thank you dearly for your continued support. ♥️”
Disney has had more than enough time to comply, but allegedly refuses to do so.
In my opinion, Disney has clearly shown a double standard. Actors who they feel lean politically left are seemingly treated differently compared to actors who lean politically right. So far, only Carano has been fired, while Rachel Zegler posted “Free Palestine” in connection with “Snow White” and wished Trump supporters “no peace” in another post.
Not to mention politically charged comments by Mark Ruffalo, Pedro Pascal, and Mark Hamill.
Now they refuse to cooperate with this case. It sounds like they are afraid something might come out. This behavior makes them appear more guilty than before.
