Gilbert Gottfried Has Passed Away at 67

Famous comedian and voice actor Gilbert Gottfried has passed away after an unspecified illness at the age of 67.

His family made the announcement via Twitter:

 

We are heartbroken to announce the passing of our beloved Gilbert Gottfried after a long illness. In addition to being the most iconic voice in comedy, Gilbert was a wonderful husband, brother, friend and father to his two young children. Although today is a sad day for all of us, please keep laughing as loud as possible in Gilbert’s honor.

Gottfried was well known for his portrayal of Iago in Disney’s Aladdin and he made several guest appearances and voices in other Disney shows as well as other popular animated shows like Superman: The Animated SeriesThe Fairly OddParents, and Cyberchase. He was also known for voicing the Aflac duck.
