Well it looks like public opinion can make a difference.
First we saw it with the Docking Bay 7 menu names at Galaxy’s Edge and now with FuelRod.
According to WDWNT (the people who’ve been on top of this controversy since the beginning) the machines are now reflecting the November 1st price increase that was scheduled.
“It would appear that the $3 FuelRod swapping fees meant to go into effect today, November 1st, 2019, have been reversed. Kiosks no longer show any signage denoting swapping fees of any kind, and when you tap through to swap, the machine does not prompt guests for payment.”
This is good news considering there was a pending class action lawsuit against the companies that own FuelRod, over the questionable practice of promising free swaps and then charging for them.
Let’s hope the swaps stay free for guests.
