Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza and Pasta and Mr. Cupcake Review

Tonight was the first Halloween Horror Nights event at Universal Orlando. One of the major attractions was the Freddy Fazbear Pizza Place dining location featuring the iconic Mr. Cupcake and the “Why Not Have Both Pizza & Pasta.”

But were they any good?

We have feet on the ground in Orlando to find out.

Overall, the dining location was fun, but it they didn’t do a whole lot to change Louie’s Italian Restaurant into Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza Place for the event. Given the demand from the crowd, I don’t think people cared that it was Louie’s with extra decorations.

First up the “Why Not Have Both Pizza & Pasta”

A slice of this costs $14.99. It features spaghetti and meatballs on top of pizza.

It’s a novel and fun idea, but how did it taste?

According to our reporter, it “looks exactly how it tastes. Pretty good and very big, but nothing super special.”

He said it was cooked and seasoned well, but it tastes like middle school cafeteria pasta on a piece of pizza.

It looks like it’s lacking cheese to me.

Given the story of FNAF and the target demographic, school pasta sounds like it’s hitting the right age range.

Not sold on this one.

Mr. Cupcake cupcake

Mr. Cupcake is a large cupcake that will cost you $12.99.

This version of Mr. Cupcake is the chocolate cupcake with raspberry filling and a ton of icing.

How was it?

According to our reporter,

The cupcake is good. There’s a LOT of icing, but it’s not too overpowering. The cake was pretty dry, but the taste was good.”

If you like icing, this one is for you.  Our reporter and friends shared this cupcake, and they are younger, so icing=win. Others may feel the icing is overpowering. It may need the mound of icing to offset the dryness of the cupcake.

Overall, our guy and his friends felt that the sizes were big enough to be shareable, but the value isn’t there for taste.

It feels like this one was just to bring in the FNAF fans for mid food.

Other food and beverage options at this location include,
  • Mike…Eggs Benedict – $9.99
  • Chica’s Sour Lemon Tang Mocktail – $9
  • Foxy’s Strawberry Soda Mocktail – $9

I’m hearing those aren’t much better.
