Five Nights At Freddy’s HHN House Impressive Animatronics but Less Intense Than Other Houses

Halloween Horror Nights opened at Universal Orlando last night, and some of our big Five Nights at Freddy’s (FNAF) fans braved the long line to get into the house, but was it worth the hype?

According to the biggest FNAF fan I know, it was impressive, but not as scary as they hoped.

Our reporter said that the animatronics are straight out of the film. They perform and are amazing!

We can’t stress enough how impressive and accurate the animatronics are!

However, there are no scare actors in animatronic Freddy Fazbear, Foxy, Chica, or Bonnie costumes to interact. The only scares from the main characters were animatronics on platforms.

Scare actors are playing the dead children.

Certain areas seemed like costumed animatronic characters could jump out at you, but nothing happened. But some of the animatronics look like they are walking right at you, which will get the blood pumping!

The house was based on the film and not the game.

Here is a video from Attractions 360 if you want to see the house before you visit.

Another issue was the long lines.

I think everyone expected the FNAF house to be a long wait, and it was. Getting into line was difficult because it kept hitting capacity. If you managed to get into the queue, it was up to a 185-minute wait.

People were waiting over three hours just to get into the house. Other headlining houses were 60-70 minute waits.

Overall Rating

My reporter said 7/10.

“I would rate it 7/10 for nostalgia and the quality of what they had, but I was disappointed it wasn’t based on the game and that there were no animatronic scare actors.”

The animatronics were amazing and solid, but the scares were not as intense as other houses. So if you have younger fans, it might not be as bad as we were expecting. If they are fans in the first place, I would assume they love the scariness anyway.
