Disney has been refurbishing their rooms and other things over at the Polynesian Village Resort to include “Moana.” We finally have a look at a finished room.
You can definitely see the “Moana” influence with the color palette and visual design and textures.
The characters and story are showcased throughout the pattern on the walls.

You’ve heard of the “Hidden Mickey.” This must be the Hidden Hei Hei.

“Moana” painting in the room.

Disney Imagineers tried to use different types of materials and textures to create an “ocean” feel to the space.

The resort is going to reopen in late July 2021 as it’s still under construction. Disney is accepting books currently.
Here’s some concept art of the Great Ceremonial House.

My daughter has been wanting to stay at the Polynesian. Maybe we should see about checking it out after it reopens.
