Ethan Hawke Reveals Details On His Role In New Moon Knight Series

In a recent interview on Late Night with Seth Meyers with actor Ethan Hawke, known for roles like the Before Trilogy, gave some details about an upcoming role he will be playing in the Disney Plus Marvel Series Moon Knight, starring Oscar Isaac as the titular hero.

Seth Meyers commented on Ethan Hawke’s long hair and look and said he looked like the infamous 1990s cult leader, David Koresh. The actor then replied:

I’ve based my character on David Koresh. I guess it’s working. You’re good, Seth. Or maybe I’m not out of character yet.

For those who don’t know David Koresh was a cult leader from the early 1990s who believed himself to be the next Messiah. He was killed in the Waco Siege where the FBI and U.S. Military raided Mount Carmel Center for stockpiling illegal weapons. It will be interesting to see a similar cult leader type character in the series.

Ethan Hawke also went into details about how he got the role.

I heard about it from Oscar Isaac, who lives three blocks down the street from me in Brooklyn. I was at a coffee shop and he came up to me and was like, ‘I really liked The Good Lord Bird. Want to be in the Moon Knight with me?’ And I was like, ‘Yeah.’ So it happened the right way.

Moon Knight is set to release exclusively of Disney Plus in 2022 and will be a six episode min-series.
