Whenever you visit any of the Disney parks, the best way to ensure your family has a good time is for everybody to be on their best behavior. Unfortunately, every so often, someone decides to have a little too much fun, which can potentially result in either them or others being put into unsafe situations.
This is the case of 36-year-old Suzan Shimmary, a mother who was arrested on June 3rd for disorderly intoxication, resisting an officer without violence, and trespassing on property after a warning. This all happened when she arrived at the ticket and transportation center with her young daughter (who was being pushed in a wheelchair).
The Uber driver who brought them there flagged down an off-duty police officer over concerns for her and her child’s safety due to her being heavily intoxicated. After confronting the guest, her breath and slurred speech gave away that she indeed had too much to drink. She said that she wanted to take her daughter to Cinderella’s Castle. But this was clearly not going to happen.
Since that incident, more details have recently emerged via an arrest report, stating that she tried to resist arrest by wrapping her legs around a pole and refusing to walk. Her young daughter was also taken into custody by the DCF (Department of Children and Families) following her arrest. The full report can be read below:
According to Orange Circuit Court Records, Shimmary pleaded “Not Guilty.” She is currently facing criminal charges and may potentially be banned from Disney properties. No public verdict has been given yet.
