Donald Duck Set To Appear On Hot Ones YouTube Series

It isn’t uncommon for a company to promote a specific brand for an upcoming release, a special event, or an anniversary. With the advent of online creatives, certain YouTube channels often do special sponsored videos. And now, one of the strangest partnerships is being made between Disney and First We Feast.

First We Feats is a food-related YouTube channel. Their most popular series is the Hot Ones challenge, in which a guest is interviewed and, over a period of time, has to take a bite of a chicken wing with hot sauce. The catch is that each sauce gets hotter on the Scoville scale. The series is behind multiple reaction memes, with Shaquille O’Neal and Idris Elba being popular examples.

But now, their latest guest comes from the last of Disney, as the hot tempered cartoon duck with a speech impediment, Donald Duck, will be taking his turn with the hot sauce in celebration for his 90th Anniversary.

While definitely a humorous idea, one wonders the logistics of said interview. While Donald himself is animated, he can’t actually eat the food on the set. The most logical way to pull this off is for Donald’s current voice actor, Tony Anselmo, to have been the one to eat the hot wings in character. The only catch is that this waterfowl most likely won’t be able to use any foul language like previous guests.

It is also a bit off that Donald is eating chicken wings given the fact that he himself is a type of poultry. Hopefully they didn’t cook up Clara Cluck.

While perhaps not the strangest cross-promotion, it is definitely one that nobody really saw coming. Hopefully, we can expect to see this little guy blow a gasket in an entertaining way.
