The last couple of days have been rough for Dolly Parton fans as many were worried when Dolly’s sister, Freida posted she was “up all night praying” for Dolly. This teamed up with Dolly postponing her Vegas concerts from this year until later next year gave fans a bit of a fright.
Let’s be real here. Dolly Parton is a National Treasure, and people adore her.
Today, Dolly released a video she made while filming a commercial for the Grand Ole Opry entitled “I ain’t dead yet” to ease the worry of her fans.
In the video, Ms. Parton assures fans that she has some health issues, but she is okay and working.
She appreciates the prayers, and she wanted to assure people she was okay.

When people were getting worried, Freida did write a post to try and alleviate concern,
“She’s been a little under the weather, and I simply asked for prayers because I believe so strongly in the power of prayer. It was nothing more than a little sister asking for prayers for her big sister. Thank you all for lifting her up. Your love truly makes a difference.”
I’m just happy to hear she is okay. My kids were very concerned as they love her.
As a side note, I’m so happy to see that the younger generation is embracing her so much. I grew up late Gen X, and Dolly was all over pop culture, in films, music, and television. We all knew her and loved her, and it’s great to see my kids being the same way.
It just goes to show that when you are genuine, kind, and help others people notice.
