Disney’s Mary Blair Inspired Alice in Wonderland Doll Debacle

Today has been quite eventful for Shop Disney angering customers.  They didn’t do just one extremely limited release, they did two.  One was for the Dwayne Johnson Jungle Cruise Mouse Ear hat and the other was for the extremely limited Alice in Wonderland 70th Anniversary collectors doll inspired by famous Disney artist Mary Blair.

The doll was very limited and only 7,900 were available world-wide and I believe the price was around $129.99.

Of course she sold out ridiculously fast and now eBay has more fodder for the scalpers using services to gain access with over 100 listings on the site already.

A bunch have already sold as well:

Now normally they usually have limits per customer and for something like this it’s normally one.  I’m not sure what the limit was on this one, but this seller had 4.

Twitter has words for Shop Disney over their releases today.

I’ve been there! Just wanted something NOT in high demand.

Limited items are much harder to come by, but it seems Disney has a lot of trouble every time they have a release. It seems that limits don’t matter somehow.

I’m just sitting around waiting for them to release their Halloween stuff, but I completely understand their frustration.
