Disney’s D23 To Charge Guests To Shop For Exclusive Merchandise Walt Disney World

Disney is now charging D23 members for the honor of shopping at their exclusive Mickey’s of Glendale pop-up shop at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort at Walt Disney World.

On April 12, those who pay $15 + processing can shop for exclusive collectibles, merchandise, and more. Those attending will also get a randomly selected mystery pin from the D23 vault.

The shopping time will be limited to 30 minutes. So, to summarize, Disney is going to charge D23 Members (plus up to one guest) $15 (each) to be allowed to shop for exclusive merchandise for 30 minutes. People will pay for the honor of spending more money.

The event runs from 9 AM EST to 5 PM EST.

Please do not arrive before 8:30 a.m. ET.

D23 Gold Members may reserve a ticket for themselves and up to one (1) guest.
Each attendee must have a ticket in their possession for entry. There will be no exceptions.
There are a limited number of tickets available. D23 Members must log in by using their D23 Member account information when reserving tickets.
All guests under age 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian to attend this D23 event and will require an event ticket for admission.
D23 Members who do not bring their membership card and tickets may not be admitted to the event. Membership card may be a physical card or a digital membership card found in the D23 App.
Any ticketed Members or their guests who do not personally attend the event, forfeit their place, as well as all experiences, benefits, and gifts associated with the event. D23 Members must be present or guests will not gain admittance to the event.

No excuses for not showing up. No refunds!

“There are strictly no cancellations or refunds regardless of reason (including, without limitation, due to illness, change in travel plans, etc.) and tickets are not transferable.”

I have joked before that if Disney could just charge you for the honor of spending money, they would.

They have done it before, so I’m not surprised they are doing it again. This is supposedly one of the D23 perks when you pay $99 – $249 a year to be a Gold Member with special event access. Given how much Gold Members pay, I would think they would allow them the opportunity for free, at least for the $ 250-a-year people.

But no, You have to squeeze them more, right?

I know it will sell out, and that’s why they continue to push the boundary.
