Disney’s Aladdin and The Lion King halted production on Broadway due to the rise in COVID cases in New York City.

Aladdin cancelled performances through December 24th to resume December 26th. The Lion King cancelled performances through December 26th with shows resuming on December 27th.

These two shows are not alone in their decision to close amid the rise in COVID cases in NYC. We previously reported that The Christmas Spectacular starring the Radio City Rockettes closed its doors for the rest of the season. The show, Jagged Little Pill, also stated that it would also be closing for good with this most recent surge in cases.

Broadway patrons can visit Broadway.org daily to see the status of the current shows available.
