Well it does indeed look like Disneyland is going to take another hit. Recently they added Buena Vista Street at Disney California Adventure, to their open shopping and dining area and now Disneyland will have to shut down the restaurants that don’t allow take-out at both areas due to a new stay-at-home order.
According to the OC Register the restaurants without take out options will close starting on December 7th. The retail locations will still remain open at reduced capacity.
Sadly, this reduction of open restaurants will cause 350 Cast Members to go back on furlough.
Here is what will be closed and what will stay open:
DCA
Closed:
- Carthay Circle Lounge (existing reservations will be cancelled and there will be no fee)
- Award Wieners
- Fiddler, Fifer & Practical Cafe
Open (Food must be eaten off site)
Trolley Treats
Downtown Disney District
Likely to close:
- Ballast Point Brewery
- Catal
- Splitzville
Open
Marceline’s Confectionary
Could remain open:
- Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen
- Tortilla Jo’s
- Black Tap Craft Burgers & Beer
Will likely remain open but food must be consumed outside Downtown Disney
- Wetzel’s Pretzels
- Jamba
- Salt & Straw
- Starbucks
- Sprinkles Bakery
- Earl of Sandwich.
This is going to be a hit to Disneyland and all the Cast Members who will not again be furloughed. Right before the holidays.
