Just this past summer the Haunted Mansion celebrated it’s 50th Anniversary at Disneyland.

Now the attraction is scheduled to be refurbished for a few months to re-open in Spring 2020. Disney is not doing any major changes, but they are fixing up the interiors, exterior and attraction mechanics.

According to the OC Register:

“Transforming the dark ride back to its traditional year-round mode typically takes one to two weeks. The longer 2020 renovation is expected to stretch until late March or April.

The work will include paint and trim on the interior and exterior of the attraction along with lighting and mechanical work inside the ride building. The renovated ride will look refreshed, but no visual changes are expected to be made to the attraction.

Keep this in mind if you are planning to visit during the refurbishment window. It’s one of my favorite attractions ever (although I do prefer the one at Walt Disney World) and I’m glad it’s getting some TLC.
