Disney has released the calendar for Disneyland events in 2026. The main focus is the 70th Anniversary, but we get a lot of other information, including the opening date for “Soarin’ Across America” and the start dates for the Halloween and Christmas events.
Soarin’ Across America will debut on May 22, 2026.
The new scenes for Millennium Falcon Smugglers Run will debut on May 22, 2026.

Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary will run through August 9, 2026.
Starting in January these entertainment options will return,
- “The Celebrate Happy Cavalcade”
- “Wondrous Journeys”
- “Paint the Night” parade
- Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and pals in 70th Celebration attire at Disneyland park
Lunar New Year will return from January 23 – February 22

2026 is the “Year of the Horse,” so Horace Horsecollar will be the character representing the multicultural celebration for 2026.
Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse will once again don their Korean-inspired outfits. Plus, this year several characters will “debut all-new outfits with representations of Vietnamese and Chinese attire.”
Celebrate Gospel (February 20-21 and February 27-28)

I guess Disney really is walking back decisions from recent years and bringing Christian music back in 2026.
“New for 2026, this uplifting annual concert will move to Downtown Disney District for two weekends full of performances by community choirs in Southern California and featuring headlining talent Hezekiah Walker (February 21) and Yolanda Adams (February 28).”
Anaheim Ducks Day (February 22)
One day, only select Anaheim Ducks players will visit Disney California Adventure. There will also be hockey-themed activities, photo opportunities, entertainment, and more.
Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival (March 6-April 27)

This popular food festival will be returning in 2026!
Disney On the Yard – Yardfest (June 19)

Sponsored by Celebrate Soulfully, the community-themed event will return to Downtown Disney District.
“During the day, join a celebration of the spirit and traditions that may be found at historically Black colleges and universities, along with drum majors and Drum Major Mickey Mouse accompanied by a drumline.”
D23 Day at Disneyland Resort (August 13)

“The countdown to D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event begins with D23 Day at Disneyland Resort, a one-day event where all guests visiting Disneyland Resort can discover magical surprises, themed moments, and fan-favorite experiences that celebrate the worlds of Disney.”
Disney Jr. Let’s Play! Party (August 13-16)
The Disney Jr. Let’s Play! Party will return to Disney California Adventure for one day with live entertainment, Disney Jr. characters, photo opportunities, and activities geared to families with young children.
The other days in the event will take place at Downtown Disney District. Which will open the opportunities up to others.
Halloween Time at Disneyland Resort (August 21-October 31)

We already have the dates for Halloween at Disneyland (can we get early dates for Walt Disney World next?)
Plaza de la Familia at Disney California Adventure Park (August 21-November 2)

The Plaza de la Familia yearly celebration inspired by “Coco” will return once again!
Holidays at the Disneyland Resort (Begins November 18)

The holiday season, which is currently happening at Disneyland and Walt Disney World will return in November next year to the Disneyland Resort.
