Disney’s upcoming Villains addition to the Magic Kingdom is still years away but a new Villains show is coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The new Disney Villains show will be replacing Lighting McQueen’s Racing Academy on Sunset Blvd.
Guests have about one month notice to visit the Racing Academy before it closes on October 7th.
Disney Villains will take over the Sunset Showcase.
The new show will take place in the “reflective realm of the Magic Mirror” and will feature dozens of villains, including “Cruella de Vil, Maleficent, and Captain Hook.

Other villains featured in concept art include Jaffar, Ursula, Hades, Scar, Yzma, Gaston, and the Queen of Hearts.

In the super short announcement article on the Disney Parks Blog, Disney mentions that this is not a replacement for Villains Land in the Magic Kingdom. Let’s be honest: I think Disney is worried about Epic Universe opening next year, so they are trying to push something “Disney Villains” themed out for 2025.
Walt Disney World needs “new” and it needs it quick!
Many are excited about the prospect of Villain-themed entertainment at the parks and this keeps the characters “top of mind” while Disney takes years to build on to Magic Kingdom.
