Disney To Increase Prices on Disney+, Hulu, and Bundles Next Month

Disney is once again raising prices on their streaming services, with some services costing nearly $100!

These pricing hikes are to take effect on October 21, 2025. Disney seems to do streaming price increases every October, which is the start of the first quarter and fiscal year.

The lowest tiers for ad-supported Disney+ and Hulu will increase $2 monthly. Raising the prices from $9.99 to $11.99.

Premium “ad-free” Disney+ will increase $3 per month to $18.99.

Bundles are going up $2-$3 a month each, while the “live TV” options are increasing $4-$7, with the top tier now reaching $99.99 a month!

Here’s a table from Variety with the new U.S. pricing for Disney’s streaming services:

Service New Monthly Price* Previous Monthly Price
Disney+ (with ads) $11.99 $9.99
Disney+ Premium (no ads) $18.99 $15.99
Hulu (with ads) $11.99 $9.99
Hulu Premium (no ads) $18.99 (unchanged) $18.99
ESPN Select $12.99 $11.99
Disney+, Hulu Bundle (with ads) $12.99 $10.99
Disney+, Hulu Bundle Premium (no ads) $19.99 (unchanged) $19.99
Disney+, Hulu, ESPN Select Bundle (with ads) $19.99 $16.99
Disney+, Hulu, ESPN Select Bundle Premium (no ads in Disney+ or Hulu; with ads in ESPN Select) $29.99 $26.99
Disney+, Hulu, HBO Max Bundle (With Ads) $19.99 $16.99
Disney+, Hulu, HBO Max Bundle (No Ads) $32.99 $29.99
Hulu + Live TV (with SVOD ads); includes Disney+ and ESPN Select $89.99 $82.99
Hulu + Live TV (no SVOD ads); include Disney+ Premium and ESPN Select $99.99 $95.99

Disney has been increasing the cost yearly. Just two years ago, the price for Hulu+ Live TV (ad-supported) was $70, and ad-free was $83, and now we are at $20-$17 more just two years later.

I’m not sure how wise it is to announce these hikes right after a bunch of people allegedly cancelled their subscriptions over Jimmy Kimmel’s removal. So either there weren’t that many actual cancellations or Disney believes those subscribers will now come back, and willingly pay more.

This will surely trigger another wave of cancellations as people are getting tired of paying constant upcharges with streaming services.
