America will turn 250 years old on July 4, 2026 and to celebrate Disney is planning a huge 24 hour celebration across multiple Disney-owned shows with Disney Celebrates America.

Starting in the evening of July 3 through July 4, Disney will run 24-hour programs across multiple Disney channels like Disney+, Hulu, ABC channels, ESPN, FX, Freeform, and National Geographic celebrating 250 years of America.
Various Disney hosts will present programing across all 50 states celebrating the past, present, and future of America.
Disney has announced that the following show hosts will be participating in the event,
David Muir and Diane Sawyer – World News Tonight
Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos, and Michael Strahan – Good Morning America
Juju Change and Byron Pitts – Nightline
Deborah Roberts – 20/20
Linsey Davis – Prime and World News Tonight
Whoopi Goldberg, Sunny Hostin, and Sara Haines- The View
Curated segments will include
Disney Celebrates America: Nashville’s Star-Spangled Bash
This will be a show in collaboration with the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp and ITV America Nashville for a live event set to feature performances, and one of the largest fireworks and drone shows in the United States. All set to a score by the Nashville Symphony.
Countdown to America’s 250th
In this segment viewers will be given “rare access inside the Statue of Liberty” along with a tribute created in partnership with the Consulate General of France in New York. Because as you know the Statue of Liberty was gifted to the United States by France.
GMA’s “50 States in 50 Weeks: America the Beautiful” series
Dawn of America
This show will trace American history from early colonial years to the Declaration of Independence.
A look at the brave U.S. military service members, veterans, and their families
Those who have helped keep America safe for the last quarter of a millennium.
America Expands Westward
In this show viewers will see America’s growth “through a cross-country adventure including broadcasts from Disney Cruise Line’s Disney Wonder with celebrations from Ketchikan, Alaska.”
Innovation and Invention
Here we have a look at how Hollywood cinema was born, the evolution of American fashion, the space race, and more.
Wonders of America
This show will be a joint venture between ABC News anchors and the explorers at National Geographic including a “Seven Natural Wonders of America,” “highlighting the extraordinary and awe-inspiring locations across the country that represent the beauty of the United States of America.”
National Geographic will also “explore the nations stories” across their print, digital, and social media platforms starting on June 16.
ESPN’s SportsCenter, will have two-hour special airing live on ABC celebrating American sports culture.
This special will air on July 4 from 2-4 p.m. PT/5-7 p.m. ET, and will be co-hosted by Kevin Negandhi and Christine Williamson.
AMERICA 250 Road Trips: A journey though the mystery and majesty of sports
This will include a five-day series of stories to mark America’s 250th anniversary, featuring five ESPN reporters on a road trip to explore how “sports shaped the country’s identity.”
Walt Disney was a very patriotic man, so Disney going all in on the celebration would be something Walt would have done himself.
