Disney Springs in Walt Disney World Hits Capacity in Under an Hour. Twitter Reacts.

Today is the opening of Disney-owned locations in Disney Springs. And according to reports, the Walt Disney World shopping district has already hit its capacity limit within an hour of opening.

According to Touring Plans, there’s a six hour wait to get in. Yikes!

While packed, it doesn’t seem to be going as smoothly as Disney would have probably hoped.

The biggest issue seem to be social distancing. People just… aren’t, according to Twitter.

Some people don’t understand why anybody would go to Disney Springs at all.

Disney Springs will be a field test of new social distancing procedures for when the theme parks reopen in July, so some of DisTwitter is worried that failing the test at Springs could mean even stricter rules in the Parks.

However, Disney has just announced their “Social Distance Squad” for Walt Disney World, so hopefully some of the kinks will be ironed out by then!
