Aye caramba! We’ve had another DuckFail… whoo hoo!
The Three Caballeros animatronics in The Gran Fiesta Tour have apparently broken down again. But instead of just removing one, letting them glitch or stay immobile, Disney has just decided to replace them with plywood cutouts.

It would appear that all three of the Caballeros — Donald Duck, Panchito Pistoles and José Carioca — have been removed from the attraction for now. Hopefully this is temporary and they’re reworking the animatronics as we speak.
Over the summer, Jose was removed and later returned.

The Three Caballeros animatronics were added to The Gran Fiesta Tour in Epcot in 2015 and were originally from the Mickey Mouse Revue, an opening day attraction in the Magic Kingdom.
Given the age of the animatronics, and the rumor that a Coco refurbishment is around the corner, it’s possible that the Cabarellos might not return. Time will tell.
In the meantime, check out the massively overlooked Disney animated series Legend of the Three Caballeros. It was created for international audiences and eclipsed by DuckTales here in the States, but it’s a great show!
