Disney Releases Statement About the Skyliner Accident

ON Saturday night at Walt Disney World, there was an issue with the Skyliner that resulted in a few cars crashing into each other at the Disney Riviera station.

Here is their statement:

“We have a team diligently looking into the cause of the malfunction on the Epcot line of the Disney Skyliner. We have been in contact with the guests, many of whom were on the Skyliner for more than three hours until we were able to restart the system. We express our sincere apologies for the inconvenience and continue to work with each guest individually.”

So now at least they are acknowledging it was a “malfunction.”

It is nice that they are in contact with the guests and trying to apologize and work with them. For most I’m sure it was just an inconvenience, but for some I’m might have been more than that.

For now we don’t know when the Skyliner will be back in working order, but it’s better to be safe than have another accident. Thanks to the work of all the emergency personnel they were able to get everyone down safely.
