Muppets Courtyard is closing after today. Muppet Vision 3D and Pizzerizzo will shut down after hours and walls will start to go up to bring the new Monsters Inc. area to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Ahead of the impending closure Disney decided to put up a video with an odd sounding Kermit the Frog to celebrate the Muppets move to Sunset Boulevard and the Rock’n’Roller Coaster.
It did not go over well.

Muppets fans were very vocal about their displeasure. Many also asked for Muppet Vision to be brought back to Hollywood Studios or Disneyland.
“The Muppets deserve so much better than destroying Muppetvision for cruddy Monsters Inc. and then giving them a slapdash rethemed coaster as a consolation prize.” – Beth B.

For The Muppet Show’s 50th Anniversary next year, I hope to see Jim Henson’s Muppet*Vision 3D for 3D virtual reality home entertainment distribution.” – Erica C.
“kermit you should be sad your theater is gone & that it cant be saved. a roller coaster isnt the same fun as cross the country trek to “get everyone together” to put on a SHOW.

Some felt posting this on the last day of Muppets Courtyard was a poor choice. I’m inclined to agree.

Other fans want it returned to another location in Hollywood Studios or moved to the Disneyland California parks.

Could they possibly put it in the theater at Journey Into Imagination at EPCOT?
Many just want to make sure that Jim Henson’s “Muppet Vision 3D” is not lost.
Do not give up yet. Keep telling Disney what you think because this is likely something that can be saved in some capacity. Muppet Courtyard will be no more, but “Muppet Vision 3D” could be saved and moved to another area in the park or even over to EPCOT.
Then it would be a win/win situation.
